What this is

A publisher collection that points to every Northern Lantern publication without flattening

them. Tangled Thistle, Room for Drama, Salty & Clever, Hook the Horizon, Vanity or Vice, and

Northern Lantern House each keep their own voice. Four live tills, Vice silent, house desk.

Northern Lantern House LLC is the seller of record for what the house issues directly. This

desk is that till. It is not a WordPress plugin and it is not a storefront on

northernlanternhouse.com — that site is the roof, not a checkout.

The House Collection is wayfinding: which door you want, what each publication is for, and

where you actually pay. It is marked open because charging for a map of the house’s own work

is a strange thing for a house whose rule is that the useful part stays in. There is no

separate downloadable package behind this title.

The publications

Six publications. Four of them sell. One is silent. One is this roof.

• Tangled Thistle — atmosphere, guests, and the production sequence, so the pretty part

• Vanity or Vice — beauty with desire left in. WooCommerce is not installed. Named as

silent rather than filled with invented products.

• Northern Lantern House — the roof. Seller of record for what the house sells directly.

No WordPress plugin.

Elsewhere, Apparently publishes instruments, not a shop.

Where you pay

Four WooCommerce stores keep selling and keep the money. Vanity or Vice has not installed

WooCommerce. Checkout stays with the store that listed the title.

The Bindery is not a checkout. It never takes a payment, never issues a refund, never holds a

card and never decides a price. The four live tills do all of that, on the site where the

product already sells, and they go on doing it whether or not this application is running.

A SKU grants an edition. A SKU is never an edition. After you pay, the licence key in the

order receipt is what puts the purchase on this device. Add it once. Buy from another

publication later and add that key to the same shelf.
